Disclaimer

Last updated: 12 July 2026

The information, features and tools on ChessBhumi are provided for general informational and practice purposes only. Please read this disclaimer carefully.

General information disclaimer

ChessBhumi ("ChessBhumi", "we", "us" or "our") operates the ChessBhumi website and the online chess service available on it (the "Service"). Everything offered through the Service — including games, ratings, analysis, opening data, puzzles and tools — is provided for general informational, educational and recreational purposes only. While we make every effort to keep the Service useful and up to date, we make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability or suitability of any feature or its output for a particular purpose.

Accuracy disclaimer

We work hard to keep our features working correctly, but we do not warrant that ratings, analysis, evaluations, opening statistics or other results will always be accurate, complete or error-free. Output may vary depending on your input, your browser, your device and other factors outside our control. Any reliance you place on the results of any ChessBhumi feature is at your own discretion.

Ratings and analysis disclaimer

Elo ratings, leaderboards, statistics and any analysis or move evaluations are provided as automated estimates to help you enjoy and study the game. They are not guarantees of skill, outcome or correctness, and they may be recalculated or corrected where necessary. They should be treated as guidance for practice and improvement, not as definitive or official assessments.

Tools disclaimer

Our tools — including the PGN viewer, FEN editor, embeddable board and streamer overlay — are provided to help you view, set up and share chess positions. They are offered "as is" for convenience, and you remain responsible for verifying their output before relying on it. We recommend keeping your own copy of any important PGN or position data.

No professional advice

Nothing on ChessBhumi constitutes professional advice of any kind. The Service is intended for entertainment and learning about chess, and is not a substitute for professional coaching or instruction where that is what you need.

External links disclaimer

ChessBhumi may contain links to third-party websites, advertisements or resources that are not owned or controlled by us. These links are provided for convenience and information only. We do not endorse, monitor or take responsibility for the content, accuracy, products, services or practices of any third-party site. Visiting any linked website is done entirely at your own risk.

Availability disclaimer

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free. The Service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates or factors beyond our control.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChessBhumi and its team shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising out of or in connection with your access to or use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any errors in ratings, analysis or tool output, loss of data, or any decision made in reliance on the Service. The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind.

Use at your own risk

Your use of ChessBhumi and any of its features is entirely at your own discretion and risk. By using the Service, you acknowledge and agree that you are responsible for any outcomes or decisions that result from using our features or relying on their output. If you do not agree with this disclaimer, please discontinue use of the Service.

Third-party data and open-source software

Parts of the Service are built on openly licensed data and software provided by others — including opening and puzzle data dedicated to the public domain (Creative Commons CC0) by the Lichess.org community, live game relays from the public Lichess Broadcasts API, and the open-source Stockfish engine. That material remains the property of its respective owners and is governed by its own licence, not by these pages. We gratefully acknowledge every source on our Credits & Acknowledgements page; their inclusion does not imply any endorsement of ChessBhumi by them.
