X-Ray Attack
A piece attacks through another piece along the same line.
An x-ray attack (or x-ray defence) occurs when a rook, bishop or queen "sees through" another piece on the same line to attack or defend a square beyond it — the piece in between isn't pinned, but the line still matters tactically.
