What Size Chessboard Should You Buy?
Choosing a chessboard is more complicated than it looks. The square size must match your pieces, and different purposes (tournaments, clubs, home play) require different boards. Here is the definitive guide.
Standard sizes
Chessboards are measured by square size (the width of one individual square):
