Pillsbury's Mate

A rook and bishop combine along the seventh rank to mate the king.

Pillsbury's mate combines a rook on the seventh (or second) rank with a supporting bishop to checkmate a king trapped behind its own pawn shield, named for the American master Harry Nelson Pillsbury.
